Three hours into the race, the Audi was still in the lead at 7:00 pm. At that time, Johnny Herbert finally handed the car over to Christian Pescatori. The Italian then passed the 50 lap mark at 7:07 pm. Emmanuele Pirro, in control of the #1 Audi, closed the gap little by little between himself and his fellow countryman. Only 3 seconds separate both leaders after 3 hours and 20 minutes of racing. It was at that time that the #3 Audi yielded a lap to its " twin sisters ".

After spending one and a half hours in the pits, the #51 Chrysler Viper finally rejoined the race. The clutch and starter changes took more time than expected. A real downer for the Larbre Competition team.

Three and a half hours into the race, two teams are fighting fiercely for 11th place. the #8 Bentley and the #7 Cadillac.

Another setback for the JMB team. The #71 Ferrari had a big problem with its starter.

Ahead, the #2 Audi only had a one second lead over the #1, when in the 60th lap, Christian Pescatori sustained a flat left rear tire in the Playstation chicane. The Italian then drove the 10 km back to the pits at a snail's pace, finishing the lap in 6:21. Fortunately, the body remained unscathed, and the #2 Audi only lost 2 minutes in the pits. But one lap later, Pescatori spent a short time in the pits, which cost him the 2nd place yielded to the #3. The #1 Audi took advantage of the situation to make a quick pit stop and jump back into the lead.

The #26 MG is solidly seated 4th overall at 8:00 pm, in front of the #5 Audi. The small British car is well in the lead of the LMP-675 class.

The Orecas are riding in 7th and 8th place.

The battle in LM-GTS between the #58 Ferrari and the #63 Corvette is phenomenal. At the moment, the red car has the advantage.

The #72 Luc Alphand Aventures Porsche was the unfortunate victim of a flat tire, his second since the beginning of the race. This time, Christian Lavieille was behind the wheel. The team is 37th overall and 9th in the LM-GT class. The #80 Porsche continues to lead the class.
